As organizations engage in large-scale change to adapt to changing external environments and pressures, leaders and their teams are under distress. Leaders are expected to be resilient and to help others navigate the change. The support leaders often get to manage this pressure is simply learn a change model - but this doesn't help them with the day to day pressure their employees face in trying to navigate the changes. Resilience is not genetic.
