Merging two distinct health provider organizations with unique cultures can be an overwhelming task. North Bay General Hospital (NBGH) and North East Mental Health Centre (NEMHC) of Ontario faced the daunting task of keeping their employees engaged during their merger.
Dealing with the merging of the two organizations, employees faced a lack of clarity, job uncertainly and a feeling of inadequate communication. It was clear to both organizations that help would be needed during the transition to formally create a new, united culture and to build the conversation skills of managers to solidify employee engagement through the changeover and beyond.
NBGH and NEMHC chose Juice to open communication and aid in their transition. Since the engagement began, the two organizations have benefited from improved communication, collaboration and respect.
