Public Training: Resolving Conflict, Transforming Workplace Culture

Public Training: Conflict Resolution - Oct 23, 2018

Be part of the  25 Waterloo Public Training Event Series!

Join Betty Pries, CEO, Creedence & Co. for a one-day workshop on conflict resolution.  She will engage participants and integrate skill development through story-based learning and interactive dialogue. Additionally, Betty will use a combination of diagrams, and activities throughout the day to accommodate various learning styles, allowing participants to digest the content and immediately begin applying it to their daily lives.

Organizations that mine differences for their strengths are stronger, more innovative and more successful. When differences become conflicts, however, those advantages are lost: Work stalls, productivity decreases and the joy of a job well done is diminished.

This workshop considers the trajectory from disagreement through conflict into  entrenchment and provides tools for leaders who are responsible for resolving conflict and bringing organizational cultures back to health.

Workshop topics will include:

  • Question gathering & goal setting
  • Mining differences for their strengths
  • Communication models and application
  • Leadership and engaging the dynamics of triangulation
  • Tackling tough conversations

Join us for this interactive workshop - you won't want to miss it!

Webinar (On Demand): Transforming Polarized Thinking

Juice's Cheryl Haskett joins Betty Pries, CEO from L3, to discuss how to transform polarized thinking.

Whether negotiating change or pursuing new visions, it is common to encounter paradoxes that will not submit to simple either/or solutions.

A paradox involves two seemingly opposing perspectives that are both true (or false) at the same time.  One less-than-helpful option is to back away from tough paradox conversations, allowing paradoxes to become binding polarities.  When this happens, one perspective is perceived as true while the other is perceived as false.

Learn how to lean into the paradoxes and to mine the differences represented by the paradoxes for their strengths.  When this happens, nuanced, complex and vision-driven solutions emerge.
