Overview

At its root, accountability is about guaranteeing outcomes. A “culture of accountability” is a working environment where people can count on each other to make and keep commitments. C6 Accountability focuses on giving participants the tools and skills required to manage individual, and team accountability. It is practical, hands-on, and believe it or not, fun.

The program is anchored by the Enterprise Simulation, which requires participants to take ownership of their roles within a work-group and larger organization and commit to producing defined results regardless of the obstacles they are faced with. In the process they create an Accountable Organization - a workplace where people are motivated, energized, and focused, and where “we can count on one another to do what we said we’d do”.

This workshop is designed around the C6 Model of Accountability™ and focuses on teaching individuals and teams the skills to plan for accountability, and to course correct when there is a gap between planned goals and actual results.

  • Identify the “6 C’s”: 6 key elements and conditions necessary to effectively delegate and accept accountability.
  • Understand how Clarity (the establishment of clear goals, roles and expectations) plays a significant role in achieving or missing results.
  • Learn to create goals that are truly SMART, and are supported by SMART Roles, and SMART Actions.
  • Learn to address issues of Competence by tying accountability to existing performance management processes, practices, and tools. dentify when Commitment is truly the issue, and when a lack of commitment is really a symptom of other failures.
  • Learn the power of effective Collaboration both vertically and horizontally.
  • Course Correct: Identify performance gaps early and problem-solve them effectively.
  • Practice Critical Communication, ensuring clear, timely, and if necessary, “tough” communication is happening.
  • Develop a personal or team action plan to leverage strengths and overcome areas for development in the C6 Key Areas of Accountability.

How it Works

C6 Accountability includes multimedia, on-line assessment, accelerated learning techniques, simple planning and assessment tools, goal setting and action plans. It provides participants with a toolkit they can use to guarantee personal and group accountability. The program includes the following components:
